Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment types according to the maintenance schedule, and make necessary adjustments. This includes diagnosing and fixing issues with hydraulic components, steering systems, engines, transmissions, drive trains, and braking systems.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance projects.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians on preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Travel to job sites for equipment checks, diagnosis, and onsite repairs as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all vehicle maintenance and repairs, including work done and resources used.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Preferably a two-year technical college graduate or with 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience servicing heavy trucks, trailers, and medium duty vehicles (hydraulics, brakes, diesel engine, etc.).
  • Familiarity with heavy construction equipment systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, electrical, and fuel.
  • Skilled in managing diverse tasks and projects, with good communication abilities.
